02. Tamarind Serving Board

02. Tamarind Serving Board

Handcrafted Tamarind serving board. Tamarind has a base color of yellow with significant displays of spalting and internal disfigurement. Tamarind can be difficult to work with as it is an extremely hard wood and is thus relatively uncommon in widely distributed commercial goods. However, its durability and unique character make it an ideal candidate for one of a kind heirloom pieces.  Beautiful grain, gloss finish, and smooth to the touch. Finished with food-safe Mineral Oil, Beeswax and Carnauba Wax. Perfect for cutting and serving food items or can be used as a beautiful display in your home.

Made from reclaimed wood….. This board is not only functional, it makes for a wonderful piece of art in your home.

Listing includes one (1) handcrafted wood board seen in picture. Item will be packaged and shipped with love, from the Big Island of Hawaii. Ready to use.

-Dimensions: 23”L x 9”W x ⅞” H
-Weight: 3 Lbs
-Finish: All products are finished in a multi-step process involving several different sealants. The top coat is a blend of mineral oil, beeswax and carnauba wax which provides a semi-gloss to glossy final surface.
-Care Instructions: Boards should only be hand-washed with light soap - NEVER PUT THEM IN THE DISHWASHER. The top finish is relatively durable, but will wear off after several months of usage. In order to maintain a luster finish, we recommend any type of food-safe, beeswax based coating. A widely available product is Howard Feed-N-Wax, commonly found in hardware stores near the wood stain (also available on Amazon.)
-Return Policy: We accept returns on products damaged during shipment, otherwise all sales are final. Please contact us if there are any problems with shipping and we’ll do our best to make things right!
